He was walking his way back to his studio after buying some acid solutions for his films.
He turned around to see his friend running in his direction.
"Hyuk?" a smile formed on Sungmin's lips. HyukJae stopped and held Sungmin's arm to breathe first. He noticed the brown bag Sungmin was carrying.
"For your job?"
"Well I'm just glad I was able to caught you."
"Why? What's up?"
"Leeteuk called me a while ago, said we should meet at the University."
"Sure, but why?"
"It's the University's foundation day."
"Oh.." Sungmin suddenly shook his head and waved his free hand,"I don't think so. College parties are kind of.."
"Kind of what?"
"You know," Sungmin shrugged.
"That's so harsh of you. It's like you've never went into one."
"That's exactly the point, I experienced those and it was not good."
"Oh come on, all the guys would there! It'll be like a reunion."
"But I have work.."
"I heard from Shindong that you're losing your touch cause you don't have an inspiration."
"Your point being?" Sungmin raised an eyebrow.
"You might meet a great person there."
"What a hopeful thinking."
"Don't be so pessimistic, come on!"
"I will try."
And he was dragged (literally) by the rest of the guys when they showed up in his studio that night.
Sungmin and the rest of his friends all used to go to the same University. He met them when he auditioned for a musical. They were the ones who passed and had become close since.
Since it was a Foundation day, a University wide party was held. Leeteuk, who now works as a professor, thought it was a great idea to reminisce and meet old friends.
The party happened at the school field. Bulb lights made the trees glow. Food and drinks were everywhere.
Honestly, Sungmin never liked parties. Too many people he does not know, too many vices happening at the same time. He doesn't drink nor smoke and sometimes that makes him feel left out on situations like this. Good thing his old friends were there.
"Sungmin, take a photo of me." Heechul commanded.
After laughing, he set the settings of his dslr and took a picture of Heechul.
"You really have to bring it everywhere you go, do you?" Yesung asked.
"You can never know when a good moment comes up."
He had to admit, this was kind of fun. He missed this. Being with people who knew him really well.
The music was good and Ryeowook bought a wine for him knowing the available drink would only be beer.
Yesung, Donghae and Shindong stood up and hopped onto the dancefloor. The crowed paved the way for them as each did their own cool steps.
Sungmin hurriedly went to them to take photos. It seemed the guys haven't lost their touch when it comes to dancing. Everyone was literally saying 'ooohhh' and 'aaahh'as they try to outdo each other. Breakdancing, robotic moves you name it and they do it.
Sungmin was laughing as he browsed some of the photos in his camera to see if they were any good. After checking, he was about to take pictures again when he noticed something at the last picture that made him stop.
Without blinking, he looked back at the crowd.
There was this guy, smiling, that stood out so much from the crowd.
Was it the glasses the guy was wearing? The messed up chestnut hair? The innocent look?
The guy's jaw line showed as he laughed happily and this made Sungmin's chest beat like a drum.
[What a perfect face] Sungmin thought. He got lost in trance. The guy's eyes shifted and looked back at him, still smiling. Just when their eyes locked, HyukJae pulled his arm.
"Come on, the mob might hit you."
"B-but.." Sungmin tried to protest but as he looked back at the crowd, the guy wasn't there anymore.
When they got back at the table where the rest of the guys are, Sungmin made HyukJae look at the pictures.
"Look at this one," Sungmin opened the last picture and pointed at the guy he saw, "does he look familiar to you?"
HyukJae eye's squinted. (Yes, it can still get smaller lol)
"I think he looks like someone."
"Who?" Sungmin got curious.
"He looks like... your soulmate."
"OH GET OUTTA HERE!"
Sungmin's heart sank. He wasn't even able to take a close up shot of that guy. It felt so good looking at him that he wasn't able to move then.
"Why were you asking about this guy?"
"I thought he would look good as my model."
[But is it really only for that?] Sungmin wondered.
"That you'll find your inspiration here."
"Just sayin," HyukJae shrugged.
It really is not funny. Now how will Sungmin contain himself?
He looked again at the guy in the picture.
[I'm gonna find you.]
Later that night:
HyukJae's phone rang.
"Kyuhyun, what's up?"
"Luckily, yes. I also think he's about to search for you."
"Oh." A shy chuckle was heard at the other end of the line.
"What is it with Sungmin that you liked so much?"
"He had stolen my heart so I'll steal his too." Kyuhun smirked.
